Headquartered in the Green Mountains of Vermont, Resort Maps has been creating and publishing advertising maps in the northeastern U.S. since 1986. Over time, as our maps became more and more widely recognized, demand for them increased. By 1992 we were distributing millions of maps in 15 towns throughout the Northeast.
These maps have become clearly recognized by business owners as an important way to help their customers find them, and also as a highly effective tool for increasing all-important word-of-mouth advertising. In just a few years our maps became immensely popular with the tens of thousands of tourists, travelers and visitors who rely on the maps when visiting a town or resort area. Our phones were ringing regularly with people asking us to come and create a Resort Map for their town. At that time, in an effort to continue our growth and simultaneously keep the quality of our product the best in our market, we decided the franchise model would be best for Resort Maps. Thus, in 1993 Resort Maps Franchise was created.
